Hairy-back Art: One Trend That Should Die NOW

By Victoria Land, Allure magazine

As I was drinking my morning coffee and leisurely checking out today's online news, I came across a headline that literally made my stomach turn. The Daily Mail is touting that hairy-back art (that's HBA, for short), which has become a big trend in Europe, is now catching on this side of the pond.

Unfortunately, HBA is what you might guess: men shaving designs and patterns into their back hair (numbers, sports-team logos, and—for one more creative dude—a back-hair replica of Vincent van Gogh's "The Starry Night"; see it here, if you dare).

I guess it was only a matter of time before men found a way to make use of their extra fur: After all, women have been shaping their pubic hair into designs for years now…but somehow, back-hair art is just way, way grosser. Thankfully, I haven't seen the trend in the flesh—or, er, hair—yet, and I'm hoping I never do.
