The fascinating history and memoirs of a Royal Air Force fighter pilot seconded to the Royal Navy during World War Two. Rated officially as "exceptional", he was the only survivor out of the 20 pilots he trained with. A poignant reminder of the dangers faced by air crew against weather and a determined enemy. He saw active service in Malta, Gibraltar, Cairo and Scotland. At the end of the war, and some very close calls, he concluded that had he been a cat, he would have used 8 of his 9 lives. This Kindle edition includes 52 black and white photographs.
